We at home pray for your success in every sense. You can act as role models for us there. You can and should make use of the vast opportunities offered here to enrich yourselves materially, intellectually and spiritually.
Let us hear of the Waswahilis who were among the first Muslims in the world use the teachings of Islam to uplift themselves in every field of righteous pursuit. In football, in the media, in the universities, in engineering, in commerce and in charities such as your own here.
If you can create your own Baitul Maal here to ensure that every Swahili child gets a rounded secular and theological education and to help others at home to do so, I can commit the free services of MCET to ensure that a transparent and accountable administration of your contribution is effected.
But, at this moment in time, it is to help you yourselves rather than us there that is the central issue. If you ignore your own needs, you will not have the strength to help us. So put your priorities here first and foremost.
When you have done it successfully here in a demonstrably transparent, accountable and democratic way, then and only then will you be able to be of assistance to your brethren and sisters back home. This it is that between PIETY and POVERTY lies the PROSPERITY that we wish for you as a route towards a prosperity for us at home.
We appeal for your donation for our charity
